These small touches bring a sweet, whimsical feel to your Shavuos table.
You don’t need to start from scratch to create a beautiful tablescape. Sometimes the best foundation is something you already own.
Like this floral tablecloth I have for years.
Start with a tablecloth you have on hand. It could be a simple neutral, a soft pattern, or even something slightly worn that still has good texture.

Instead of replacing it, elevate it by layering a table runner down the center. This is one of the easiest upgrades you can make and we love this one here because it adds a soft feminine touch to the table while creating the perfect space for your flowers. Think soft linen textures, subtle stripes, or even something with a bit of contrast to add depth.
If you don’t have a tablecloth that quite works, do not worry, we will help you find one. See more picks below.
From there, build in the details. Incorporate the simple floral styling (complete tips in an upcoming post!) using small clusters of flowers in mismatched jars or bottles. This keeps the look cohesive while adding height, color, and a relaxed, effortless charm to the table.

To tie everything together, we created downloadable place cards and menus.

This small touch makes the entire setting feel more thoughtful and intentional, without adding much cost.
You can print at home on card stock or through a local shop, and place them at each setting for an elevated finish with these adorable flower paper clips.

Who could believe that such a small item adds so much! This will be a conversation piece.

To create more of a mood, always add candles. You probably own something already, or, you can add these ribbed tealight candle holders that we loved because they are heavy and feel expensive.

It’s also the perfect thing to set up for guests who need to light Shabbos or Yom Tov candles anyway.

A real cloth napkin always looks better. Don’t try and tell us otherwise. And when the cloth napkin is almost as cheap as the paper one, it’s a win-win. Wash them, store them, and have them ready for the next party. We love these linen feel napkins that come in many colors and in bulk. They’re perfect for hosting. I’m putting them away, but if you’re not into washing, they’re cheap enough to throw out as well.
