A Few of My Favorite Makeup Brushes

A good makeup brush is equally important as the product you are using.

Applying makeup with the right tools (in this case, brushes) is really going to make all of the difference when achieving that finished look. Here are my favorites (including the products I use them with!).

See how we use a Foundation Brush to make it easier to apply sunscreen in this post.

FACE

Makeup by Mario Foundation F4 Brush
Use the larger side for foundation and the smaller side for concealer or cream blush or contour. Blends beautifully + so easy and flawless.

Real Techniques Ultra Plush Brush
For setting all over the face and bronzer (don’t use this for blush, it’s too big).

Sephora PRO Blush Brush
This is a great quality brush with a flatter shape. I dip the flat side of the brush into the blush (rather than the tip). Then, I apply the flat against my cheek starting at the apple and blush upwards.

Powder Puff Set
Use powder puffs for setting under eyes and oily areas. Pat into setting powders and then pat onto face for a flawless look.

EYES

Real Techniques Setting Brush
This is the perfect smaller size and density for setting under eyes or eyelids with loose or pressed setting powder.

Morphe “Eye Want It All” Set
Great quality and price. Every brush you might need for eyes!

Morphe M331 Fluffy Eye
If you want to keep things simple, you only need this and the Morphe M382 below. Try this easy eye look: apply a thin layer of concealer or primer on a full lid and set with powder. Swirl the M331 in bronzer and brush over the eye lid, focusing on the crease and down. Apply pencil liner—I like brown! Smudge with the smudge brush to buff it out a bit.

Morphe M382 Smudger Brush
This is the best brush to smoke out pencil eyeliner. Just apply pencil on the upper lash line—it doesn’t need to be neat. Then buff it out with this brush for an easy effortless look.

24/7 Liquid Gel Eyeliner + Brush
I’m really enjoying this eyeliner that has a smudge brush on the other side. It’s not as fine a brush as the M382 but works great for easy everyday use.
