3 Ways to Get Rid of the Frying Smell in Your Kitchen

So you are the best hostess ever. You fried latkes, doughnuts, chicken, and even dessert. Your guest will be talking about the food you prepared until Pesach.

Hosting this Hannukah? Here's how to remove the smell of all that frying in your kitchen.

You though? You aren’t as thrilled. Because all you can smell is fried oil. So you wash your clothing and take a shower. But how do you get rid of the frying smell in your house? And quickly before the guests come?

Plan Ahead

While frying, open the vent over the stove and open a window. If you have a  kitchen door, keep it closed so that the smell doesn’t leave the room.

Boil Away

How to get rid of a frying smell in your kitchen. Try mixing vinegar and water and boil it. Place 2 cups of water with 3-4 tablespoons of white vinegar in a small pot. Bring to a boil, making sure that the pan doesn’t boil dry. Turn on the fan to help the smells dissipate.

Some Positive “Scents”

Want to take it a step further? Place some cinnamon sticks and orange peels in a pot with some water to cover. Bring a boil. Ahh! The fresh scent of baking without the work!
