All of these amazing cakes were made using an Evergreen Kosher’s (supremely delicious) bundt cake, right from the bakery department.
Not much of a baker? Not in the mood of taking out the mixer? Not enough time to bake, cool, and decorate a cake? Just buy a bundt cake and you’re almost ready to sing happy birthday!
There are so many fun ways to elevate a store-bought bundt. And why do you need to bake when there are such delicious cakes you can buy? One day, when all of us were shopping in Evergreen, as we passed the bakery department, Shaindy mentioned that the bundt cakes at Evergreen are really delicious (Mocha…Amaretto…Marble….and more!). Victoria believed her and bought every one for a simcha when she wanted to supplement her desserts…and they all went (since when do three bundt cakes disappear so fast?). Her personal favorite was the Amaretto. Seriously, why bake when a fresh, delicious bundt cake is $10 at Evergreen?
We love these three birthday cake ideas that we made using Evergreen’s bundts – but this is a great way to dig into your creativity and come up with unique ideas of your own. And then tell us about them!
Cereal Bowl
Do you have a kid – or a not quite kid – in your life who loves cereal? You know – the junkier, the better type? Now they can have their cereal-cake and eat it, too!
What you’ll need:
One small ready bundt cake
Icing: Confectioners’ sugar mixed with a bit of water (until desired consistency is achieved)
A favorite fun cereal
Turn the cake upside down. Spread white icing along the top surface until the edges. Fill the center of the cake with cereal, going almost until the edge of the cake to mimic a full cereal bowl. Add a spoon and you’re good to go!
Surprise Cake
This cake takes just 5 minutes to assemble but the surprise inside makes it extra fun.
What you’ll need:
One small ready bundt cake
3 large packages of Oodles candy or similar
One container of frosting (we like Duncan Hines or Pillsbury, both of which have which several parve options)
Place the cake on the serving platter. Fill the center with all the candy. Cover the cake in frosting (using an offset spatula makes this easier) going right over the candy center. Add some birthday candles and you’re ready to party! Just make the birthday boy/girl is the one to cut into the cake and find the surprise…
Fancy Flower Cake
What you’ll need:
One large bundt cake
Two containers of frosting (we love chocolate frosting for a decadent look)
A small ramekin
Fresh flowers with the stems cut short
Rubber band
Place the ramekin in the center of the cake. Frost generously and swirl decoratively. Collect flowers into a tight bunch and tie with a rubber band. Place the bouquet into the ramekin. You can add an inch of water into the ramekin if the cake will be sitting out for a while.
And there you go! Five minutes are all you need to make someone feel special!
These are adorable!!!
Love it!
These bundt cakes taste homemade – they are the best store bought cake I have every tried!
Omg I’m in love with this post!! The cereal bowl is so so creative!!! Thank you!
