These S’mores Brownies are the perfect dessert for kids to make by themselves!

We know you have mixed feelings about the words “kids” and “baking” together. When they get to a certain age, at some point during teenagedom, it works beautifully. In many households, mom makes the food and the preteens or teens take care of the desserts.
And that works especially well when it comes to our 9×13 desserts, where the mess is really minimalized like with this This 9×13 Frozen Chocolate Bar Ice Cream. There’s also desserts that are not 9x13s that kids love to make as they’re also easy and fun. Favorite frozen desserts include this Strawberry Crunch Ice Cream Cake, a Fruity Pebble Ice Cream Treat Log, or the latest Chocolate Crunch Butterfinger Ice Cream Sundaes!
And that brings us to S’mores.
We know that most of us enjoy the flavors, and kids especially love anything S’mores-related. These 9×13 S’mores Bars are so, so good (when marshmallows caramelize in the oven, they take on a new flavor). Our S’mores Muddy Buddies might be better than the original, and our S’mores Ice Cream is also a favorite. Or, if you have extra challah dough, Rochie Pinson’s S’mores Challah is another delicious option.

These S’mores Brownies, though, might just be the easiest of all. This recipe is designed so that even the littlest bakers in your family can handle it. They will be so proud that they made it themselves, too!
And, hopefully, they won’t make too much of a mess. Just a little.

There’s only three ingredients you need (plus the eggs/oil for the cake mix). Some graham crackers (6 actually), a brownie mix (we used Duncan Hines, of course), and a container of Marshmallow Fluff.

Line the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking pan with the graham crackers. It will fit six whole graham crackers (with two broken in half for the bottom row).

Prepare the brownie mix according to box instructions.

Pour the brownie mix over the graham crackers.

We’re ready to bake!

Once the brownie is baked and cooled (you can put it in the freezer for a little bit to quicken the cooling process), top with the Marshmallow Fluff.

Use a spatula to spread it evenly.

This is the only part that mom needs to do, but it just takes a minute! Put the brownies under the broiler for 1 (or 2) minutes, watching it carefully! You want it to just get golden and toasted. Don’t let them leave your site or forget about them!
Let the brownies set in the refrigerator for 1 hour before slicing (otherwise the marshmallows will be too gooey to slice).
Enjoy!

Looks delicious! Can this be made a day or two in advance or it’s only good very fresh?
It’s so funny, my daughter and I made up this exact recipe a couple months ago after trying to recreate trader joes s’mores frozen treats! We actually keep it in the freezer and eat it pretty much as a frozen dessert. It’s amazing!
Thanks for sharing! I can imagine it’s even better like that.
For sure totally fine to freeze this!
This looks amazing!
We love the between carpools brownies and do not care for Duncan Hines can we use your recipe instead?
Of course, use any brownie recipe. This is just the easiest version possible.
I made the smores brownies and the graham crackers rose to the top. How is it possible to keep it on bottom like a crust?
Interesting, never saw that happen. Not sure why!
Did you maybe use cake batter instead of brownie batter by mistake? I imagine that the brownie batter is heavier so would do a better job weighing down the graham crackers
For a upgraded and elavated version use a Graham pie crust.
