However we’ve always wanted to share an easy machine doughnut recipe. For those machines the kids win at Chinese auctions, or the one you bought on a whim because it was on sale and now you only have one week a year to use it… you need a recipe for it!
Renee and Leah both send their toddlers to the same playgroup. One day, they walked out with each child holding their own doughnuts that they had made. We asked for the recipe and here it is! Thanks Morah Rena for sharing this with all of our readers.
Fill the donut cavity with batter. You want to go almost all the way to the top.
Let bake for 3-5 minutes or until it’s golden brown.
Donut Machine Donuts
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup orange or apple juice
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 cup oil
- In a large bowl, add flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix with a fork. Add in juice, eggs, extract and oil. Stir well with a fork until its a smooth batter. A few little lumps are fine, but it should be mostly smooth. Heat the donut machine, grease it and fill the donut cavity with batter. You want to go almost all the way to the top. Close and let bake for 3-5 minutes or until it's golden brown. Dust with confectioners sugar, icing glaze or toss in cinnamon sugar mixtureEnjoy!
Yield: 16-18 donuts
