Don’t know where to start? Want to get some great dishes into the freezer? You can’t go wrong with these freezer-friendly Pesach favorites.
While most get all their Pesach cooking done after turning over the kitchen a week or so beforehand, those who are lucky enough to have Pesach kitchens (or Pesach closets!) can head into Pesach season early.
Note–not all of these recipes need kashered kitchens! Some can be done with a table and small appliance.
And while these are just some of my favorites that I like to get into my freezer first year after year, there’s way more freezer-friendly Pesach recipes on Between Carpools that you can also get started with! Get more ideas over here.
As a general rule, all cakes/cookies freeze very well. Most desserts and all meats (at least those that are slow cooked) freeze well too. Blended soups are more freezer-friendly than chunky soups and you can see lots more tips on how to freeze anything in this post.
And, once you do start getting things into that freezer, keep track of it all using this freezer hack. And when it comes to storing things in the freezer in advance, this freezer tip will help keep things fresh, and this tip to use shallow 9x13s will help save space!
thanks again!!! love all your tips!! how does the freezing of the sweet potato fries work? like how to defrost them while staying crunchy
As long as the chips are crunchy and fully cooled down, just place in a plastic container. Remove from freezer before serving. Uncover and it defrosts in minutes.
